Photography outdoors is very fun. This is where many begin. Starting off you will just be havi g fun but push your self to see the details. Like highlights on the skin. People in back ground and things in the background that are interfering with your portraits. Prime times to shoot are when the sun rises and sets these will be the most beautiful shots you can ever get. Use the sun like another light typically you should use it as a hair light. Always have the sun to your subjects back and expose for the back ground then light your subject with you portable flash units. I recommend godox. They have their own power source and are very easy to break down and set up. If you have your subject fave the sun try to defuse the light 9 times out of 10 it will be to bright and will also cause your subject to squint when facing the sun.... This is not a pretty look. Be sure to always have a reflector to catch some of those beautiful colors given to you by the sun. If the sun escapes you and it's dark in your area don't panic just become creative find a nice a background and light it using your 2nd flash or just crank up that ISO don't be afraid. But don't go higher than 800 depending o. What you are using you may have to much grain in your photos. The shot below of Jullissa was shot at night!
